A Big First Step, A Cozy Dream, and a Lot of Cleaning Supplies.

We’re excited to finally share some big news with you all: Familys Arctic Getaway is officially happening. And yes… we’ve taken our very first big step in Belgium! 🇧🇪✨

Our cozy little house has recently been put up for sale, just before Christmas. Which means that right now, life looks a bit like this: cleaning, decluttering, cleaning again, welcoming visitors into the house, and then cleaning again. If you ever wonder how many cleaning products a family can own — trust us, we know now.

In the middle of all this beautiful chaos, my husband is fully focused on his wilderness training. And we are so proud to say he has already earned his First Aid & Medic Certificate — and he absolutely nailed it 💪🌿In the evenings, while most people relax with a series, he’s on the couch practicing knots. Lots and lots of knots. (If ropes ever disappear from the world, we’re prepared.)

And me? I’m usually stretched out on the couch with a laptop, deep into the magical world of cabins, huts, and tiny houses. Dreaming, searching, saving ideas… imagining places where families can slow down, reconnect with nature, and most importantly, reconnect with each other. Fires crackling, warm blankets, muddy boots at the door, laughter echoing through the trees — that’s the feeling we’re building toward.

This journey is exciting, a little scary, often exhausting, but always filled with purpose. We’re not just creating a getaway — we’re growing a community of families who want more nature, more presence, and fewer screens.
