There are moments in life where everything suddenly seems to fall into place, where the unknown slowly transforms into something tangible, something real. This feels like one of those moments.

After months of dreaming, planning, and trusting the process, we can finally say it: we found a home in Norway.

Not a house to buy just yet, but something just as important, a place to land. A base for our very first year in the Arctic. A place where our adventure will truly begin.

We Found Our First Home in Norway

We’ve learned quickly that finding a home to buy from afar isn’t always easy. So much happens through connections, through conversations, through being there. Norway is a place where relationships matter, where opportunities are often shared long before they ever appear online. And that’s exactly why having a home to start from feels like such a gift. It gives us the space and time to explore, to meet people, and to search for something more permanent once we arrive.

And then… there’s this house.

Our Base in Norway: The Beginning of Everything

It honestly feels like it came straight out of our dreams. A charming red house, surrounded by nature, close to the water the kind of place you imagine when you think about starting a new chapter in the north. Even from a distance, it already feels like home.

But what makes this even more special is the person behind it.

We’ve been incredibly lucky with the owner a genuinely kind and welcoming man who has gone far beyond what we ever expected. From the very first conversations, he made us feel at ease, as if everything was simply meant to be. He has shared advice, helped us understand the area, and even connected us with people opening doors we didn’t even know existed yet.

It’s one of those rare encounters that reminds you that sometimes, the right people appear at exactly the right time.

As If It Was Meant to Be

Now, there’s just one big step left: arranging the move itself. A truck, our belongings, and the journey north. It’s starting to feel real in a whole new way. Soon we’ll be able to share our new address, a place that, for now, exists somewhere between reality and imagination.

We may still be at a distance, but our minds are already there. Dreaming. Planning. Feeling.

And if this is how it begins, we can only wonder what’s waiting for us next.
