Preparing for Our Big Move to Norway

The countdown has truly begun! Every week we are getting a little closer to our dream of moving to Northern Norway, and step by step the pieces of the puzzle are falling into place.

Recently, we joined a webinar about emigrating to Norway. It gave us a lot of valuable insights into the practical side of such a big move from paperwork and housing to adapting to a new lifestyle in the north. Exciting and overwhelming at the same time!

At home, things are starting to feel very real:

📦 The first boxes have been packed.

🏡 We’re working hard to get our house ready to sell.

With three cats to bring along, we’re figuring out the best way to make our journey north as smooth (and adventurous) as possible.

Another big question we’re exploring: should we rent first, or buy a house right away in Norway? Our hearts lean toward finding a little home of our own, but we’re still weighing what makes the most sense.

And then there’s the journey itself—do we fly, rent a car, or maybe even take a motorhome? Since we’ve always preferred to keep our feet on the ground, who knows where that decision will take us.

It’s a path full of choices, but each step brings us closer to our dream: building FamiLYS Arctic Getaway and welcoming families to share the magic of the North with us.
